AUTUMN HOURS
October 29, 2012
As the brilliant colors of fall begin to fade, the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre and Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens are starting to prepare for the next season.
Student “AfterHours@Acadia" has begun at The K.C. Irving Centre. Students are welcome in the Classroom and Main Level meeting areas from 10:00 PM – 2:00 AM every night for the remainder of the academic year. After 10:00 PM, only current Students, Faculty and Staff with valid Acadia ID’s are permitted in the Centre. The Main Entrance on University Avenue is available for entry or exit. To enter, swipe your Acadia ID card to the right of the Main Entrance.
The Cafe is now open to the Acadia Community until 11:30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Get your caffeine fix, chill-out with herbal tea, study, chat with friends or sign-out backgammon, scrabble or chess for some good old-fashioned fun in front of the fireplace!
For Auditorium use beyond 2:00 AM, which may include group events, movies or presentations or to host a campfire and marshmallow roast in the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens please contact kcirvingcentre@acadiau.ca or (902) 585-1917 during regular business hours, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM; Monday - Friday, with a minimum 24-hours notice.
The Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens will remain open from dawn to dusk; weather permitting. The first fall frost is upon us, please be cautious during early morning walks.
The K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre and Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens are ‘leave no trace’ facilities; please leave them as you found them. Respect for each other and our environment is one of our guiding principles.
Meet, study, smile and enjoy.
