Holly Turner hails from Nanaimo, British Columbia, and is a 2020 graduate of Nanaimo District Secondary School. In 2017, Holly was a finalist in the NASA Student Spaceflight Experimental Program for research into kidney stone development in microgravity and received the English 12, Biology 12, and Major Citizenship Schoolwide Award of Recognition in 2019. She also was the Head Youth Leader of the 2019 YouCAN sustainability conference. She is involved in show jumping, volleyball, and competitive swimming.

Holly will be pursuing her BSc. in Biology and Environmental Science at Acadia beginning in September of 2020, and she hopes to pursue environmental health science study at graduate levels in the future.
