Colette Peng is a 2026 graduate from Horton High School in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. She is an advocate for environment and climate action. Colette served as a National Youth Advocate for World Vision Canada’s Climate Challenge Committee and helped fundraise over $6,000 to plant trees for the Goré region in Chad.

During high school, Colette served in various clubs and leadership roles. She was Co-President for the Environment Club, Clerk for the Student Council, and Treasurer for Music Student Council Executive.

Community is an integral part of Colette’s scientific-oriented educational goals. Apart from working three part-time jobs, Colette spread the joy of music by playing for various churches around the Annapolis Valley. A champion of youth empowerment, Colette was a senior leader for the Aldershot Air Cadets.

Colette will be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science where she plans to pursue hands-on research toward a future in ecological restoration and resilience. She is excited to continue her climate advocacy journey at Acadia as an Arthur L. Irving Family Foundation Scholar.
