Rowan Norrad, from Halifax, NS is a Principal’s List 2022 graduate from Citadel High School. Throughout High School Rowan played on the JV Basketball team and was Captain for his senior season. Over his three years on the team he helped the team win three city championships, one regional championship and one provincial championship. Rowan has shown a passion for the environment as a member of his schools environmental society from grade 5 all the way until grade 10. Over the last 4 years Rowan has volunteered alongside palaeontologists from the New Brunswick museum to research a new fossil locality that he helped discover. Rowan has recently become a published author working with scientists from around the world to write a paper detailing a new species of carboniferous dragonfly which he discovered. Rowan will be pursuing his BSc in Environmental Science and hopes to make a big impact on the environmental future of the world.
