2017-18 Arthur Irving Academy Research Grant Recipients Announced

The Arthur Irving Academy Research Grants in Environmental Science are annual funding awards for Acadia researchers/research teams promoting the use of the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre and/or the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens through research projects in support of the environment.

Seeds for the future

The K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre at Acadia University not only houses a collection of dried plant specimens within the Irving Biodiversity Collection’s E. C. Smith Herbarium, it is also home to a seed bank of native plant species from the Acadian Forest Region.

Acadia’s 2017 Arthur Irving Family Foundation Scholarship Recipients Announced

Wolfville, NS, July 12, 2017 – Two students, one from Saskatchewan and one from nearby Port Williams, are this year’s recipients of the Arthur Irving Scholarships in Environmental Science for undergraduate students at Acadia University; academic awards that are among the most prestigious in Canada and offer students unique research and mentorship opportunities.
